When you send an alert, a responder at your institution gets a pop-up with:
- Who you are: your name, matric number, phone number, department and level.
- Where you are: your live location on a map, your location trail, and the distance to the nearest police, ambulance, fire and hospital services.
- A short voice clip, if you have turned it on: about 15 seconds of sound recorded from your phone the moment you triggered the alert, so they can hear what is happening. It can take a few seconds to arrive after the alert itself.
- Medical details you added: blood type, conditions and allergies. These are shown only if you filled them in.
- Your emergency contacts, so they can reach someone if they cannot reach you.
- The alert type (SOS or silent alarm), the time, and its status.
They can then acknowledge the alert, call you or your contacts, head to your location, and resolve it with a written report once you are safe.
What they do not see
- Your password, payment details, or messages.
- Where you have been before or after the alert.
- Any audio other than that one short clip. Daabbo never records at any other time, and the voice clip is off unless you turn it on.
- Anything about your Walk with me sessions, unless you send an SOS from one.
