You can delete your account yourself, straight from the app. You do not need to give a reason.
- Open Settings and tap Delete account at the bottom.
- Read what will happen, enter your password to confirm, and tap Delete.
It happens straight away, and it cannot be undone. If you have an SOS alert that is still open, close it first: cancel it, or wait for campus security to resolve it. Then try again.
What is removed
- Your name, username, phone number, email, matric number and password.
- Your profile and medical details, and your emergency contacts.
- Any voice clip or location trail recorded with your alerts.
- Incident reports you sent, with any photo or video.
- Your notifications, Walk with Me positions, and your sign-in on every device.
What is kept, without your name
- The record that an alert happened (type, time, status and how it was handled), because it is part of your campus's safety record. Nothing in it can identify you any more.
- Payment records, such as the reference, amount and dates, where the law requires them.
- Security logs, which no longer show who you were.
- If you took a Pavictek Academy course, your name, progress and certificates are held by the Academy, so deleting your Daabbo account does not remove them. A certificate stays verifiable by its number. Email us and we will pass a deletion request on.
Your subscription ends with the account. Everything we keep, and for how long, is listed on Data retention & your rights. If you cannot use the app, you can also email hello@daabbo.com with the subject "Data request", from the address on your account or with your registered phone number, and we will do it for you.
If you only want to stop using Daabbo, you can simply stop. Nothing renews automatically.
